Sri Lankan Day at St Joseph's, July 2011
St Joseph's held its annual Sri Lankan Day at the beginning of July. It was very well attended with dancers, musicians and a life band to entertain the crowds. Our own tutor Thushari performed a traditional dance. Delicious rice and curries were served as well as iced coffee and Pimms. There was a clown and face painting for the children; jewellery and pottery made by our students were on display. As in previous years the proceeds are shared between the Nicholas Fernando Foundation in Sri Lanka and St Joseph's. Thank you to everyone who took part and supported the event.
