African Evening at Whetstone, July 2009
The parish of St Mary Magdalen in Whetstone organised a fundraising event in aid of the St Joseph's pilgrimage to Lourdes. The theme of the evening was 'A Taste of Africa' which incorporated many delicious dishes from all over the continent which was accompanied by African music played by Henry DJ. There was also a tombola and a raffle. The event was extremely well attended and many thanks must be given to all those who helped in the organisation of it all - thanks especially to Libby, Geraldine and Rita and to their incredible team of supporters and parishioners. Thank you to all - you will be remembered in Lourdes.
