End of Year - Achievement Day, July 2011
Our Achievement Day was held on 20th July – the name having been changed this year from Certificate Day to reflect the talents of each of our students. Each student was awarded a gold medal for their work throughout the year and each class performed for the assembled crowd. Matthew Offord, local MP for Hendon rushed away from the phone hacking scandal in Westminster to congratulate the students. He spoke warmly of the work of the Centre and its importance in the community. Refeshments were served at the end of the afternoon. Well done to all the students, and to the tutors and volunteers who made it such a fantastic afternoon. See you next term!
